Ops Copilot Agent is an operations assistant that ingests tickets, logs, and event timelines, then produces structured summaries and next actions.

Problem I Solved

Most incident updates are scattered across dashboards, ticket comments, and chat threads. Context-switching slows down triage and increases missed steps.

Solution Design

• Built a typed orchestration layer in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Used tool/function calling to fetch scoped context from multiple sources.
• Enforced strict output contracts to keep downstream automation deterministic.

Reliability Focus

• Added validation gates before accepting model output.
• Included safe fallbacks for invalid or partial responses.
• Captured execution traces for easier debugging and replay.

What I Learned

A reliable AI workflow is mostly systems engineering: contracts, retries, observability, and clear boundaries matter more than prompt size.
